CONVICTED TRIPLE MURDERER Jeffrey R. MacDonald is serving three consecutive life sentences for the brutal murders of his wife Colette and daughters, Kimberley and Kristen.
On February 17, 1970, Colette and her two small children were savagely murdered by husband and father Jeffrey MacDonald. Butchered and beaten, they suffered numerous skull-shattering blows as well as being stabbed repeatedly with both a knife and an icepick. By contrast, MacDonald was injured only superficially by Colette during the attack as she fought for her life and the lives of her children.
The physical evidence in this case, combined with MacDonald's own words, overwhelmingly pointed to MacDonald as the murderer. Since his conviction in 1979, much information and misinformation has appeared in hardcopy and electronic form. For those who would like to learn more about the facts of this case, Joe McGinniss's excellent book Fatal Vision is a valuable source of information, as is Phil Callahan's MacDonald Case Facts website.
